The Canary Islands are set to experience a hot and hazy Sunday, with temperatures above 34°C accompanied by a calima forecast in Gran Canaria, and 32°C in the other islands.
Seas will be rough due to northeast winds of Force 5 or 6, reaching Force 7 offshore in the northwest coast. The southeast coast will experience strong swells, while the northeast coast will have variable winds of Force 2 to 4, and the west and southwest coasts will have variable winds of 1 to 3, breezes, and calmer seas
Island by island forecasts:
- Northern areas will have cloudy intervals, clearing during the central hours of the day. Other regions will be mostly clear with some light clouds and haze at high altitudes. Temperatures will remain stable or slightly decrease. The southeast will see temperatures exceeding 30°C. Moderate northeast winds with strong intervals in inland areas, and occasional very strong gusts in the first half of the day.
Temperatures: High of 32°C low 22°C.
- Generally clear skies with intervals of medium clouds and calima at high altitudes. Temperatures will remain stable or slightly decrease in Jandía and along the west coast. Southern regions may see temperatures in excess of 30°C. Moderate northeast winds, with strong intervals in the interior and southern Jandía.
Temperatures: High of 32°C low 22°C.
- Northern regions below 500-600 metres will have some clouds which will clear during the day. Other regions will be mostly clear with haze affecting the south. Temperatures will see little change in the north but will slightly to moderately decrease elsewhere. Interior southern regions and high-altitude areas may exceed 34°C, and barely drop below 28-30°C. Most areas will see temperatures reach 30°C, except for the north. Moderate northeast winds, strong in the southeast and west with possible very strong gusts. Breezes on the southwest coast.

- Northern regions below 500-600 metres will have cloudy intervals, clearing during the day. Other regions will be mostly clear with a chance of light calima affecting the south. Temperatures will remain stable in the northeast and slightly to moderately decrease elsewhere. Interior regions on the south, east, and west may exceed 32°C. Most areas will see temperatures reach 28-30°C, except for the north. Moderate northeast winds with strong intervals in the southeast and northwest points. Breezes on the west coast.
