The new Leroy Merlin store in Adeje, in the south of Tenerife, is looking for 165 new employees before opening at the end of the summer in September, which will be the company's fifth store in the archipelago. The vacancies available are for cashiers, sales consultants, logistics operators, and customer relations assistants, who speak English, German, Italian or Russian as well as Spanish.

The new superstore in the south will cover an area of more than 11,800 square metres with an investment of 24 million euros, in addition to generating approximately 165 direct and 60 indirect jobs.
The director of Leroy Merlin Spain which covers the Canary Islands, José Francisco Carrillo, stated that with this opening, the company continues to "bet on generating investment and employment in the environment where it is located ", to which he added that with the opening of the new store, the company will exceed 950 employees in the Canary Islands.
LEROY MERLIN INVESTING MORE THAN 187 MILLION EUROS IN ADEJE:
Leroy Merlin is the promoter of the new commercial area in the south of Tenerife, in which they have invested more than 187 million euros for the development of the new commercial park in Adeje, being built on a 100,000 square metre plot in the Las Torres ravine.
The construction of the new commercial park will be carried out in two phases, the first of which is underway, and has 30,000 square metres of commercial space and 1,150 parking spaces. This part of the project involves an investment of more than 67 million euros, which is expected to generate more than 850 direct jobs and 140 indirect jobs, which will be a significant boost to the local economy.
The second phase of the project, which is scheduled to open in 2024, will add 33,000 square metres to the commercial park, reaching a total area of 63,000 square metres built, and will have an investment of a further 122 million euros and will generate around 2,300 jobs in the area.
