The Calima will give way to some rain in the Canary Islands on Wednesday

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is forecasting generally clear skies with light rain in the northern and northeastern parts of the higher-altitude islands in the Canary Islands tomorrow (Wednesday). The possibility of rain will increase from noon onwards, in a day with slightly higher minimum temperatures than now.

Moderate northeasterly winds are expected, with intervals of higher intensity on the northwest and southeast slopes, as well as in the mountainous areas, where locally strong gusts are not ruled out, particularly in Tenerife and the western islands.

In the maritime areas, winds from the northeast are predicted to be force 3 or 4. The sea conditions will be moderately choppy, getting stronger in the afternoon with a northwest swell of up to 2 metres in height.
