United Airlines have confirmed that it will offer a total of 13,400 seats on its direct flights between New York and Tenerife over the next four months, which resume this Friday (June 9th) until September 27th.
They will operate three times a week leaving the Newark International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and returning from Tenerife South on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The duration of the flight is six hours and fifty minutes on a Boeing 757-200 with 169 seats (16 polaris and 153 economy class).
The acting president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Pedro Martín, said that "the consolidation of this connection after the excellent occupancy rates last year, of close to 90%, means that if this year is just as good, the route will operate all year round in 2024.”
Turismo de Tenerife have also announced that in the next few weeks, a new direct flight from North America could be confirmed, specifically from the east coast of Canada, something they have been working on over the last few months.
In addition, at the end of the year, the island will take part in tourism fairs in Korea and India with Turespaña, to open new routes to and from the Middle East.
