Naked man arrested after dancing and making a ‘mess’ in the street

A man has been arrested for disturbing the peace after dancing completely naked down the middle of a street in Gran Canaria, before defecating in the road, trying to get into the passenger seat of someone’s car, and then ‘rubbing’ his backside on another’s bonnet while the driver was inside.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon on Calle León y Castillo in the centre of Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria, when stunned drivers and pedestrians saw a naked man dancing in the middle of the road by a junction whilst the traffic lights were on red.

The man continued to dance and block the road when they turned green stopping the traffic, and by now, local residents were also watching the man from their balconies and windows.

However, rather than stop, the man proceeded to make a ‘mess’ on the road and then try to get into a car that was waiting at the junction, but the driver locked the door, before sitting on another car’s bonnet and rubbing his backside up and down it.

At this point two National Police officers arrived, lowered him to the ground, and thus ended the surreal scene, putting a blanket around him and marching him to their patrol car in handcuffs. No further information has been released regarding the incident at this stage.
