The National Police have arrested a 35-year-old man accused of allegedly raping and threatening to kill a woman after breaking into her home in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.
The victim filed a denuncia (official report) with the police stating that she was in her bedroom when the man broke into her house, forcefully immobilised her, and subsequently sexually assaulted her while threatening to kill her.
The officers from the National Police, who were handling the investigation, successfully identified the suspect who already has a criminal record with two outstanding judicial warrants for his arrest related to assault and violation of a court order.
After his arrest, the suspect was taken to police custody and subsequently placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
