The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN), has issued a warning about the potential presence of metal fragments in several batches of chocolate cookies sold in Aldi and Lidl supermarkets.
Specifically, the affected products are 'Cookies Aux Trois Chocolats' from the Arizona brand, sold at Aldi, and 'Grandino triple chocolate' from the McEnnedy brand, and 'Nougatelli' from the Sondey brand, both available at Lidl.
AESAN became aware of the issue through the European Food Safety Authority's Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), following an alert from the health authorities in the Netherlands, and is advising anyone who has these products at home not to eat them.
