The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecast shows that there will be an increase in temperatures today (Monday) in the Canary Islands, accompanied by scattered showers in various parts of the islands.
In the eastern islands (Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria), they are predicting high clouds with occasional intervals of low clouds. In the western islands (Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro), there will be high clouds with cloudy intervals this morning getting overcast during the afternoon.
Scattered showers are forecast in all of the islands which will be generally weak, except in La Palma, where it is expected to be more persistent and stronger.
Regarding temperatures, AEMET indicates that there will generally be little change or a slight increase, with lows of 20°C and highs of 27°C that could reach 30°C locally in inland areas.
Likewise, in the eastern islands, there are expected to be light south winds, while in the western islands, there will be light southwest winds with occasional gusts on the southeast and northwest slopes.
