AEMET activates yellow weather warning in Tenerife

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow weather warning in Tenerife, La Palma, and El Hierro, for adverse sea conditions, with strong winds at sea and waves up to four metres high.

The warning will be in force, in principle, until Tuesday morning in the north and the metropolitan area of ​​Tenerife, the west coast of La Palma, and the whole of El Hierro.

As for the weather forecast for today, Monday, cloudy skies are expected in the north of the islands with greater relief with possible weak and occasional rains at altitude.

In the easternmost islands, it will be cloudy during the early morning and late afternoon, clearing during the rest of the day. Weak and occasional showers are not ruled out either.

Temperatures aren’t expected to change much, except for a considerable drop in the high areas of Tenerife.
