Yellow weather warning activated for strong winds in the Canary Islands

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow weather warning today (Monday) for the risk of strong winds in the Canary Islands up to 80 kilometres per hour, particularly in Tenerife, La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera, and Gran Canaria.

Very strong gusts of wind from the northeast are expected on the northwest and southeast slopes of all the islands, as well as on the summits of the islands with greater relief, especially during the first half of the day, but it will subside later in the day tomorrow.

As for the rest of the weather, it will be either be cloudy or clear with intervals of high clouds, tending to cover Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and the north of the rest of the islands this afternoon, with maximum temperatures of 26 degrees, and minimums of 15.

Wind: Strong, 37km/h from the northeast.
Temperatures: Maximum 21°C and minimum 15°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:
General: High clouds, wind from the northeast, and sunny spells.
Humidity: 66%
Precipitation: 7% - No rain expected.

Wind: Strong, 31km/h from the northeast.
Temperatures: Maximum 24°C and minimum 16°C.
