Search launched across the Canary Islands for missing 12-year-old girl

SOS Desaparecidos has issued an alert for an islands wide search for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since April 5th. Angelina Pérez Darias failed to return to the youth centre in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where she resided and has not been seen since.

The report of the girl's disappearance was filed with the National Police by a member of staff at the centre, triggering a search order and an investigation to determine her whereabouts.

According to the details released by SOS Desaparecidos, she was last seen on Friday, April 5th, in the Lomo Apolinario area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She is 12 years old, measures 1.50 metres tall, has a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes.

The investigation suggests that Angelina, who had only been at the centre for 15 days, could be with a family member, as her disappearance occurred after a phone conversation with one of them, although her mother denies that she is with her.

If anyone has any information regarding her whereabouts, they are requested to contact SOS Desaparecidos on 649 95 29 57 or by email: [email protected], or the National Police.
