Diversion for Manchester flight after 30 minutes due to medical emergency

Ryanair flight FR3806 which took off from Fuerteventura yesterday (Thursday) at 8.15pm for Manchester, had to turn back just 30 minutes into the flight due to an emergency medical situation with a passenger on board.

In this situation, planes are required to be diverted to the nearest airport which in this case was the César Manrique airport in Lanzarote.

Air traffic control cleared the flight path for them to land as quickly as possible and medical personnel were ready to board as soon as the plane landed.

Once on the ground, medical personnel got on the plane and stabilised the passenger, who was then taken to hospital for further treatment, and the person travelling with them was able to disembark.

After everything had been taken care of accordingly, the plane was able to take off again and continue on its journey without further incidents.
