All of the islands remain at the lowest risk level for COVID

All of the Canary Islands remain at a health risk of “controlled circulation” or Level 0 for COVID-19, which is the lowest level, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health, who are still required to report on the situation for the archipelago by the Public Health Committee of the central government.

Currently, the daily average of conventional hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients stands at 0.97%, and the level of risk in the percentage of occupancy of conventional beds is in controlled circulation (Level 0) or low risk (Level 1) on all of the islands.

The number of occupied ICU beds remains in controlled circulation on all the islands, with an average weekly occupancy of five beds, which represents an average occupancy percentage of 0.95%. The ICU bed occupancy rate per 100,000 inhabitants is at an average of 0.23 ICU beds, with all islands maintaining controlled circulation or a low-risk level.

In the region as a whole, the Accumulated Incidence rate at seven days (IA7) for people over 60 years of age stands at 63.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In this parameter, again, all the islands remain at low risk or controlled circulation.
