Four-year-old boy hit by a car in Telde

A four-year-old boy has been injured after being hit by a car on Monday morning in Telde, Gran Canaria.

At around 9:20am, the Canary Islands’ Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES), received an alert reporting that a child required urgent medical attention after being hit by a car on Calle Manuel Alemán Álamo.

Paramedics arrived quickly at the scene, where they assessed and treated the young boy, who was found to have suffered multiple injuries, described as ‘moderate’ in nature unless complications arise.

He was stabilised at the scene before being transported by ambulance to the Maternal and Children’s University Hospital in Las Palmas for further treatment.

Local Police attended the incident, regulating traffic in the area and carrying out the necessary accident investigation procedures.
