Adeje murderer warned friends by WhatsApp that he would kill his ex-wife

The man accused of murdering his ex-wife in Adeje last Sunday, sent a message to several acquaintances warning that he was going to kill her, even if he ended up in prison. This is made clear in the brief of the Court of Violence against Women of Arona, which ordered him to prison without bail on Wednesday.

The judge stated that this message proves that it was a "premeditated crime", as well as the fact that a large knife and some latex gloves that he was wearing to avoid leaving traces were taken off him.

Judge Raquel Gómez Sancho said that the accused went to her home "with a clear homicidal purpose," and that before the murder he warned several acquaintances of his intentions via WhatsApp messages.

Thus, based on the statements of Hayate's two teenage children, he went to her house at around 11:20pm on Sunday, January 8th, "knowing that the victim was finishing work at 11:00pm as a receptionist at a tourist accommodation in the municipality of Adeje”.

According to the judge, he began an argument with her about the two youngest children who he is the father of, before producing a large knife with a 30cm blade and stabbing her several times until he ended her life.

The judge recounts that the victim, seeing the knife, screamed for help, which is why Hayate's older children came out to help her. One of them "was injured in the hands by his stepfather, when several cuts were produced in the struggle for the knife." She also recounts that her other teenage son tried to plug his mother’s wounds.

She also stated that the murderer, in addition to the knife, had latex gloves in his possession, one of which was found at the scene of the murder, and another among his belongings. This, she adds, "is evidence that it was not a spontaneous crime, but rather a premeditated one since the attacker waited for the victim when he arrived at her home wearing gloves so as not to leave traces and a large bladed weapon."

Incriminating messages via WhatsApp:
Some contacts of the accused, says the report, received a WhatsApp message in which he warned: "that he would end the life of his ex-partner even if he had to end up in jail." This, the judge points out, "again proves the premeditation of the accused when committing the fatal crime."

Unlike Hayate, a Moroccan living in Tenerife for a long period, the judge believes that the murderer, of the same origin, "does not have any roots in our country apart from the two children, neither economic nor social."

Protection order for Hayate’s children:
The accused accepted his right yesterday not to testify in the Court of Arona, which was not an obstacle for the judge to issue a provisional prison order without bail for a crime of "consummated intentional homicide", that is, that he wanted to murder Hayate, with two aggravating factors of kinship - it was his ex-partner, whom he had divorced in 2019, and they had two young children in common. The woman also had two other teenage children. He is also accused of a "crime of habitual mistreatment" towards Hayate.

The judge also charged him with a third crime, that of serious injury to one of Hayate's four children. The 15-year-old tried to help his mother and confronted the perpetrator, his stepfather, who was holding the large knife. The murderer may not approach any of the children, their home, place of study, or any place frequented by them at a distance of less than 500 metres.
