A 7-year-old girl is seriously injured after being run over in Teguise
A 7-year-old girl was seriously injured yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) after she was run over by a car on Avenida del Mar, the main road through Costa Teguise in Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES received an urgent call for medical assistance at 5.30pm yesterday afternoon, and dispatched two ambulances and the Local Police to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics assessed the young girl who had sustained multiple injuries of a serious nature and once stabilized, transferred her to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife for further treatment, while the police wrote up the accident report.
The girl, about whom no further details have been released, was admitted in serious condition and it is hoped she will make a full recovery.
