Both a 14-year-old cyclist and a 38-year-old woman were hospitalised after an accident on Monday afternoon on Avenida de La Marina in Arrecife, Lanzarote, when the young cyclist ran into and knocked over the female pedestrian.
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) dispatched SUC medical personnel to the location given, on receiving a 112 call for assistance, who provide initial treatment at the scene of the accident.
Both of them suffered several cuts and bruises and were taken to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for further treatment. Local authorities, including the Arrecife Local Police, are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
