According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the Canary Islands can expect a generally cloudy day today, Wednesday, especially in the northern areas of the islands. Elsewhere, skies will be clearer, with some intervals of cloud cover.
Winds from the northeast will blow at force 4 or 5, occasionally reaching 6 in the southeast through the afternoon. Seas will range from moderate to rough in the morning, easing later in the day. Northerly swells of 1 to 2 metres are expected.

Cloudy skies in the north in the morning, clearing through the day with some cloud returning overnight. The rest of the island will remain mostly clear. Temperatures will remain steady, with moderate northeast winds, occasionally strong in southern interior areas.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Generally cloudy at dawn, becoming clear during the day. Northeast winds will be moderate, occasionally strong along the southern coastline, especially near Jandía.

GRAN CANARIA:
In the north (below 1,100-1,300 metres), skies will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of light drizzle during the early hours. Large sunny spells are expected during the day. Elsewhere, conditions will remain mostly clear. Northeast winds will be moderate to strong on the southeast and northwest slopes, with potential for very strong gusts. Light breezes are expected on the southwest coasts.

TENERIFE:
In the north (below 1,400-1,600 metres), expect cloudy skies with possible light rain in the northeast overnight. The rest of the island will see mostly clear skies, with some cloud early on the southern slopes. Moderate northeast winds may strengthen in the southeast, west and southern areas of the metropolitan zone during the afternoon. Light westerly winds on the central peaks and gentle breezes on western coasts.
