3-year-old child seriously injured in road accident in Tenerife
A 3-year-old child was seriously injured following a road accident late last night (Monday) in Tenerife, while two adults also sustained moderate injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:55pm on the TF-13 road, near Las Canteras in the municipality of Tegueste, when a car veered off the road for reasons that are still being investigated.
The Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) responded to an alert for help and dispatched the relevant resources to the scene.
The child suffered multiple serious injuries, while a man and a woman, both aged 46, were treated for moderate injuries.
All three were stabilised by medical staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) before being transported to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias for further care.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
