Over the weekend the Ministry of Health has vaccinated all the workers of the Coordinating Centre for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), and emergency services and medical transport staff in Gran Canaria and Tenerife against Covid-19, as they are considered of front-line personnel in essential and health services.
This has been reported this morning by the Government of the Canary Islands, which adds that health transport includes staff from land and air services, in addition to coordination rooms.
The vaccinations were carried out at the Canalejas Health Centres, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Doctor Guigou, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the support of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and Primary Care nurses.
Meanwhile, during the week, the Hospital Managements have coordinated the vaccination of urgent and non-urgent land health transport personnel on the islands of Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma.
In total, more than 1,500 staff linked to medical transport and CECOES 1-1-2 emergency centres have received their first dose of the vaccine.
