The National Police of Telde in Gran Canaria, have arrested a 55-year-old woman after she tried to smuggle drugs into the Las Palmas II prison in her underwear for her son, who is serving a sentence inside.
She was searched before entering the prison after acting suspiciously when going for a scheduled visit, and officers found 29 grams of heroin, equivalent to 290 single doses, in 20 individual wraps hidden in her bra and knickers.
According to the official press release, the woman has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking and has been made available to the competent Judicial Authority awaiting trial.
