Three men caught red handed breaking into a restaurant in Maspalomas
Three men were arrested on Friday night in the south of Gran Canaria, after being caught red-handed trying to break into a restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana to rob it, according to a press release from the National Police.
The detainees, aged 26, 27, and 42 years old, were spotted trying to force open the door of the establishment with a crowbar, in a shopping centre in Maspalomas, by someone in the centre who called the police.
When officers got there the men were still trying to get in and caught them in the act, so immediately arrested them and charged them with attempted breaking and entering with the intent of robbery.
The three men are now in custody with the judicial authorities awaiting trial and sentencing.
