The dead body of a woman is found floating in the sea
Maritime Rescue has reported that they recovered the lifeless body of a woman yesterday (Monday) that was spotted floating along the southern coast of Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura.
According to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), 112 received an alert at 1:35pm, reporting the discovery of the body in the sea by people on board a privately owned pleasure boat.
In response to this distress call, CECOES dispatched a Maritime Rescue boat to intervene and retrieve the body then take it to the Gran Tarajal Dock.
Here they were met by the Guardia Civil who took custody of the deceased's body until the arrival of judicial authorities who ordered an autopsy for official identification and to determine the cause of death.
