Clear or sunny skies and calmer seas across the Canary Islands this Monday
The national weather agency, AEMET, is forecasting mostly clear or sunny skies across the Canary Islands today, Monday, with temperatures remaining steady and light variable winds that will turn westerly and only strengthen slightly by the end of the day.
At sea, conditions will improve gradually. Winds will range from force 1 to 3, and from the east and northeast at force 2 to 4 and occasionally 3 to 5. Seas will be smooth to slight, with some moderate waves. A north-westerly swell of 4 to 5 metres early in the day is expected to drop to 2 to 3 metres later on.

LANZAROTE
A mostly clear day, with some cloud at the beginning and end of the day. High temperatures will change very little, but minimums will drop to a chilly 12°C. Light variable winds, tending northerly early on and westerly later, with coastal breezes.
General temperature range: Low of 12°C and high of 20°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Generally sunny and clear, with patchy cloud at first and last light, especially in the north, east and west. Temperatures stable. Light winds with a northerly tendency at the start of the day, plus coastal breezes.
General temperature range: Low of 14°C and high of 20°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Clear skies for most of the day, with morning cloud in low areas and more cloud building on the north and east sides towards evening. Temperatures remain almost unchanged. Light variable winds and coastal breezes, with westerly winds on the peaks.
General temperature range: Low of 14°C and high of 21°C.
TENERIFE
Mostly sunny with some cloud early on along south-facing slopes and later in the northeast and east. Temperatures will rise slightly to moderately at higher altitudes and stay steady elsewhere. Light frosts are possible overnight on the highest peaks. Light variable winds and coastal breezes. On the central peaks, moderate north-westerly winds shifting to the west later.
General temperature range: Low of 13°C and high of 22°C.
