The images of a spectacular collision in Gran Canaria have been posted on social media after witnesses were amazed that the occupants of the two vehicles were able to get out themselves and walk away with just minor injuries.
According to CECOES (Emergency Services), two people were slightly hurt in the accident that happened at 6:00pm on Tuesday afternoon, in the municipality of Santa María de Guía.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident which left one car on its roof and the other almost on its side in a ditch, both with a high amount of damage.
Medical personnel treated the occupants at the side of the road before transferring them to hospital by ambulance for routine observation.
