Two young girls, aged 6 and 8 years old, were hit by a motorcycle yesterday (Monday) on Avenida Manuel Velázquez in the municipality of Puerto de El Rosario, Fuerteventura, as reported by the Emergencies Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident occurred around 3:00pm yesterday afternoon, which is when the 112 emergency call centre received an alert informing that the pair had been hit by a motorcycle and needed medical assistance.
Medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were immediately dispatched to the location given, and at the initial point of care, medics reported that the girls had moderate head injuries and multiple contusions, so they were taken by ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura for further treatment, where they are expected to make a full recovery.
