A 5-year-old boy is in critical condition after being rescued from drowning
A 5-year-old boy is in critical condition after being rescued with signs of drowning following an incident at a hotel pool in Pájara, on the island of Fuerteventura, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre for the Canary Islands.
According to their report, the incident occurred yesterday afternoon (Thursday) at a hotel pool in the municipality, where medical personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene and provided initial assistance to the young child.
After stabilizing him, they took him by ambulance to the Morrojable helipad where a medical helicopter was waiting to fly him to the Maternal and Child University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he was admitted in critical condition for urgent treatment.
The Local Police and Guardia Civil were also involved in resolving the incident and prepared the necessary reports to determine what happened.
