New mobile app now launched for Covid certificate to travel in Europe

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Health Service (SCS), has enabled a new web application at www.miCertificadocovid.com from today, Wednesday, in which anyone already vaccinated by the Canary Islands Health Service, will be able to access their EU Digital Covid certificate, to save, print and use for travel.

This is the official document with which, as of July 1st, people residing in EU member states will be able to prove that they have been vaccinated, have overcome the virus, or have a negative diagnostic test result.

This certificate is intended to facilitate mobility and guarantee the protection of the health of people in the European Union who meet any of these three conditions, without having the status of a passport or travel document that conditions or restricts the right to freedom of circulation.

The Ministry of Health details in a note, that when entering the page  www.miCertificadocovid.com, the user will only have to fill in a simple form with their full name, DNI or NIE, and their contact mobile phone number that appears in the base of SCS data.

With this, the user will receive an SMS message with a validation code that will give access to the vaccination certificate or a diagnostic test, if applicable.

The miHistoria app:
Since the beginning of June, people residing in the Canary Islands have been able to download the vaccination certificate by accessing the 'myHistoria' service, in which their SCS Covid-19 Vaccination Card is already accessible via the SCS website or through Apple or Android apps.

As it contains highly secure information, it requires registering with a digital identity, which can be obtained through a digital certificate or the Cl@ve system at www.miscs.org, where there are steps to follow on how to register, or through a username and password provided by the administrative unit of the health centre that you are registered at.
