The Ministry of Health has notified of 151 new cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands today, which means the total number of accumulated cases in the Islands is 46,402 with 4,063 active, of which 82 are admitted to the ICU and 293 remain hospitalized.
In the last hours, the death of two 84-year-old men has occurred in Gran Canaria: one is linked to a social-health outbreak at the San José Clinic and the other to a family outbreak. Both had previous pathologies. In addition, a death in Lanzarote reported last Friday has been verified and is added to today’s statistics.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands has dropped to 61.58 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 131.53 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with only Fuerteventura’s IA7 in the 70’s now as Tenerife’s and Gran Canaria’s have both dropped.
Of the new cases, Gran Canaria has added the most again with 79 followed by Tenerife with 53, Fuerteventura with 13 and Lanzarote with 6. There were no knew cases in La Palma, La Gomera or El Hierro.
