The Tenerife Cabildo has lifted the ban on making fires in the barbeques at recreational areas since the weather conditions have improved. As of today (Monday), the normal rules apply in forests and protected natural areas, meaning recreation areas can reopen and forest trails can once again be used.
The Minister of the Natural Environment, Blanca Pérez, emphasizes the importance of maintaining vigilance and being responsible, despite lifting the ban and the improvement in weather conditions.
The public are still requested to take extreme precautions in all activities that may represent a risk of fire.
In addition, farmers are reminded that agricultural burning will continue to be prohibited during the dry summer season until October 15th, with the aim of preventing forest fires.
