Woman injured after being mugged in Tenerife:
A 64-year-old woman has been injured after being mugged on Calle Pedro Suárez Hernández in Santa Cruz on Saturday. The incident occurred at 11.20am and she suffered a hip injury as she fell to the floor when a thief tried to steal her bag. She was taken to hospital for treatment and the thief got away.

50 immigrants intercepted east of Lanzarote:
Maritime Rescue intercepted a boat with 50 sub-Saharan immigrants on board yesterday morning east of Lanzarote. The boat was guided into Arrecife dock arriving at 3.40pm, where all passengers were met by the Red Cross.

A woman is runover in San Miguel, Tenerife:
A woman needed to be taken to hospital for ‘moderate’ injuries after she was run over by a car on the TF-28 in San Miguel de Abona in the south of Tenerife at 7.30am yesterday morning.

Fisherman injured after falling from rocks in Tenerife:
A 74-year-old fisherman has suffered a serious head injury after falling rocks whilst fishing in a rocky area in La Barranquilla, near the Socorro beach in Los Realejos, in Tenerife.

Fireman had to rescue him as he landed in an area difficult to access, so that he could be treated before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

A worker is injured after falling from a ladder in Gran Canaria:
A 50-year-old man has been injured after falling two metres from a ladder onto a public road in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. After the fall he was transferred to the Dr. Negrín Hospital for treatment to a head injury.

80 people needed medical attention at Carnival in Tenerife on Friday night:
A total of 86 people were treated by the medical services on Friday at the Santa Cruz Carnival street parties, over half of them due to excessive alcohol consumption (45), 12 for intoxication from narcotic substances, 12 for injuries (especially falls), 6 for common illnesses, 4 after fights, and 7 for other reasons.

Among the people who were attended to, fourteen were identified as minors, nine of them with alcohol intoxication.
