The National Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body that was found yesterday morning (Wednesday), in the water tank of a villa located in Los Realejos in the north of Tenerife.
According to the official police report, the body was discovered shortly before 11:00am in a property on Calle Mexico in the Toscal-Longuera area of the town, and the emergency services activated all the necessary resources to the address given.
Firefighters extracted the body from the water tank, whose hands were tied with duct tape, and whose feet had weights attached to them.
His identity has already been confirmed as a stocky 52-year-old local businessman who is a native of another municipality in the north of Tenerife.
One of the first hypotheses is that his death was by suicide, although an autopsy is being carried out to determine the real cause of death.
