MYND Hotel in Costa Adeje Wins Prestigious Award

The MYND Adeje hotel, located in Callao Salvaje in the south of Tenerife, has been awarded the prestigious 'Best Hotel Management' prize at the TH500 Gala, organized by the B2B publication TecnoHotel to celebrate its 500th edition.

Francisco Fernández, CEO and co-founder of the hotel's management company, Canarian Hospitality, received the award in Madrid. In his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude to TecnoHotel, and the over 500 employees of Canarian Hospitality, particularly the 80 staff members at MYND Adeje, saying that they are the true winners of the award.

This accolade is particularly notable as it is the only one given to a Canary Islands company, highlighting the excellence MYND Adeje has achieved since its opening.

“About three years ago, when we started creating the company and conceptualising MYND Hotels, we could not have imagined that in such a short time the prototype hotel of the brand would achieve such a high level of recognition for quality, results, and work environment,” Fernández said.

The TH500 Gala awarded eight prizes across various categories, recognising excellence in areas such as digital strategy, sustainable strategy, and talent management. The event brought together nearly 150 hoteliers from the Canary Islands, Madrid, Catalonia, Balearic Islands, La Rioja, Navarre, Valencian Community, Andalusia, Basque Country, and Galicia.

The rapid growth of Canarian Hospitality:

Canarian Hospitality inaugurated MYND Adeje at the end of 2021 as the first hotel under the MYND Hotels brand. Between December 2022 and March 2023, they added MYND Yaiza and LACASA Apartments Cotillo, which is set to become MYND Cotillo after its complete transformation later this year.

MYND Hotels operates on a transformative concept, catering to the needs and lifestyles of modern travellers. These comfortable, welcoming, and modern hotels are typically small to medium-sized, with 4-star ratings and 150 to 300 rooms.

The philosophy of MYND Hotels is built on eight pillars:

  • Sustainable Tourism to positively impact the world;

  • People Centric, focusing on customers and employees;

  • Everyone is Welcome, promoting tolerance, respect, and equality;

  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing world;

  • Environmental Protection to minimize ecological impact;

  • Digitalisation to streamline processes and enhance customer service and staff efficiency;

  • Care for Body and Mind, offering wellness experiences;

  • Enjoyment of Local Flavors, with a focus on high-quality, locally sourced cuisine.

Canarian Hospitality currently manages eight resorts across the Canary Islands: three in Gran Canaria, two in Tenerife, two in Lanzarote, and one in Fuerteventura. They plan to add four more hotels (two in Gran Canaria, one in Lanzarote, and one in Fuerteventura) between now and 2026.
