Jet2holidays announces thousands of FREE child places this summer

Taking advantage of the peak booking period following the Christmas holidays, the UK's largest tour operator, Jet2holidays, has added hundreds of thousands of free child places to its summer package holidays. They have decided to increase the number of free places available for British families choosing to book their holidays with the company, with Spain, including the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands, leading the list of destinations.

As announced in an official press release, these additions join the millions of combined trips with free child spots already available, making 2024 the year with the largest offering of cost-free holidays for children in its history.

The company strategically chose one of the peak booking periods, the first weeks after schools resumed following the Christmas break, to announce this increase in free places for younger travellers. Additionally, the tour operator has reported that the sale of their Summer 2024 program is currently “progressing well.”

Jet2 Group, comprising the aforementioned tour operator and Jet2.com airline, has over 17 million seats available for travel to 60 destinations in the upcoming summer season. After expanding its summer operations, the British group will operate more than 420 routes, including over 50 new ones, from the 11 airports it serves in the UK.

Among the currently most popular destinations are the Canary and Balearic Islands, mainland Spain, as well as Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy, Malta, and Bulgaria.

"With the return to school this last week, we are witnessing an increase in the demand for family travel as people begin to plan and book their holidays. We expect it to rise over the weekend, so we have put hundreds of thousands of additional free spots on sale, meaning we have never had so many," emphasized Steve Heapy, CEO of the Jet2 Group.
