A shocking case of animal abuse has come to light in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where a man allegedly disposed of his dog by throwing it into the sea inside a rubbish bag.
The horrific discovery, brought to shore by the tides at Playa La Cícer beach in Las Canteras, has triggered a wave of outrage on social media.

Local Police officers were called to the scene after beachgoers found the lifeless body of a dog inside a plastic bag. Officers from the Mediation and Coexistence Unit (UMEC) took charge of the situation and managed to identify the owner of the animal.
When questioned, he reacted with apparent surprise and was unable to explain the whereabouts of his dog, according to details shared by the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Local Police on their official X profile.
