The National Police have reported the discovery of a dead body on the upper floor of a building in an abandoned construction site in the centre of Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife
The Emergency Services received an alert on Tuesday night from the 112 call centre and dispatched the necessary resources to the unfinished building, including the fire brigade to recover the body.
Police and forensic teams have been working at the site on Calle Roque Jama in Los Cristianos, a place that has been the subject of several complaints for squatters and fires attended to by the emergency services over the years.
So far, no additional information has been released about the incident, as the National Police has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding it, and the body has been taken for autopsy to determine the cause of death and to identify the victim.
