A 36-year-old man has been injured in a paragliding accident in the municipality of Guía de Isora in the south of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Canter (CECOES).
The incident occurred shortly before 2:00pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday), not far from the Piedra Hincada exit of the TF-1 motorway. CECOES received an alert requesting medical assistance for a paraglider who had an accident in the aforementioned area.
Upon arrival, SUC (Canarian Health Service) medical personnel attended to the injured man and transferred him to Hospiten Sur for further treatment, as he had various “moderately severe” injuries.
The incident was also attended to by the Guardia Civil and personnel from Highway Maintenance who carried out and filed the relevant reports as to the cause of the accident.
