The Guardia Civil has successfully located a 10-year-old boy who went missing while with his family in the hiking area on the coast of Playa San Juan in the municipality of Guía de Isora, in the south of Tenerife.
Upon receiving the alert about the child's disappearance from his parents, the Guardia Civil immediately activated a search and rescue operation supported by the Local Police along the coast, and lifeguards from Playa San Juan to search the sea in case he had fallen down a cliff.
It has been well reported over the last few weeks how difficult the terrain in Tenerife can be to locate people, but thanks to swift actions taken during the search, the Guardia Civil located the boy within a few hours in the coastal area of Playa San Juan.
When they found him, the boy was very disoriented and was immediately taken to the Medical Centre in Alcalá for further medical evaluation and care.
