A yellow weather warning has been activated from this morning (Tuesday) for ‘coastal phenomena’ in the east and south-east of Gran Canaria, the west of La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and east and south-west of Tenerife.
According to forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), force 7 from a northeasterly direction with gusts up to 70 km/h will cause adverse sea conditions with big waves and strong swells making it dangerous for swimming.
The public is advised to look out for the colour of the flag on the beach they are visiting and act accordingly. However, they are also reporting that we will see the return of a slight haze at altitude and temperatures up to 31°C in parts of Gran Canaria.
