A double-parked car in Los Cristianos, south Tenerife, ended up attracting the attention of National Police officers who allegedly discovered cocaine, MDA, hashish and cash in the vehicle.

The incident happened in the San Telmo area Los Cristianos while officers were carrying out a routine patrol. They spotted the vehicle stopped illegally and approached the driver to check what was happening.

According to the police report, the 22-year-old driver appeared nervous and evasive while speaking to them, leading them to investigate further.

Drugs allegedly found in shoulder bag

During a subsequent search, officers found several different substances inside a shoulder bag.

National Police say they seized five MDA tablets, 13 individual bags of cocaine weighing a total of 15 grams, and a container holding concentrated hashish.

€425 cash was also found in small-denomination notes.

The combination of individually packaged drugs and cash led officers to arrest the man on suspicion of an offence against public health.

Arrested and taken before judicial authorities

After the arrest, police completed the necessary procedures before the 22-year-old was placed before the appropriate judicial authorities.

No further details have been released about the case at this stage.

The unusual police intervention only began because officers noticed the vehicle parked incorrectly in San Telmo.
