The Canary Islands will continue tomorrow, Saturday 2nd October, with a yellow warning for high temperatures that could reach 36 degrees in Gran Canaria, and 34 in the rest of the islands, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Specifically, the warning will be active from 11am to 7pm throughout the archipelago, except for Lanzarote, the north of Gran Canaria, the north of Tenerife, and the east of La Palma.
In Fuerteventura, it is expected that the heat will mainly affect the inland areas of the south of the island, while in the rest of the Canary Islands it will affect the midlands and slopes facing to the south and southwest coasts of the islands.
Public Health asks that precautionary measures are taken to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible, and always hydrate by drinking lots of water.
