The weather forecast in the Canary Islands for this week, by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), shows that there will be some haze in the eastern islands and rain in the north of all of the Islands, while in other areas there will be generally clear skies with sunny spells, some drizzle, and a slight rise in temperatures.
Regarding sea conditions, there will be strong swells off the northwestern and southern coasts with waves between one to two metres high, and medium currents from the northeast which will increase offshore in the northeast coasts.
Here is the weather forecast for each of the islands:
TENERIFE:
Cloudy with light rain in the northwest during the morning. Generally light northeast wind, getting stronger on northwest and southeast slopes. Inland and at peaks, it will be light from the southeast, and just breezes on south coasts.
Temperatures: maximum 22°C and minimum 18°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Generally cloudy with light rain in the morning in the south of the island. Light haze at the end of the day. Generally light east wind, with strong gusts in the southeast and northwest.
Temperatures: maximum 22°C and minimum 16°C.
LANZAROTE:
Cloudy intervals with a slight chance of haze. A moderate east wind during the early morning getting weaker throughout the day.
Temperatures: maximum 22°C and minimum 16°C.
FUERTEVENTURA:
Cloudy intervals with haze are expected this afternoon. Moderate east wind during the early morning getting light during the rest of the day.
Temperatures: maximum 21°C and minimum 16°C.
LA PALMA:
A cloudy day with light rain in the north of the island. If the volcano's emission continues, the ash will move north due to light east winds, with gusts on the northwest and southeast coasts. In the midlands and peaks, weak from the southeast.
Temperatures: maximum 21°C and minimum 17°C.
LA GOMERA:
Cloudy with light winds from the east, increasing to moderate in the extreme northwest at the end of the day.
Temperatures: maximum 24°C and minimum 19°C.
EL HIERRO:
Cloudy all day with light winds from the northeast, getting stronger on northern and southern tips, and some showers during the afternoon.
Temperatures: maximum 17°C and minimum 14°C.
