The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TJSC) has denied the request of the Government of the Canary Islands this morning (Wednesday) to apply a curfew, from 00:30h to 06:00h, in the islands at alerts level 3 and 4 risk of Covid-19, according to court sources.
Yesterday the Prosecutor's Office gave a favourable report and the go-ahead to this measure, which would only affect Tenerife at this moment in time, as it is the only island that is at alert level 3.
Yesterday at 9:00am the three calendar day period began for the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the TSJC to respond to the request of the Regional Executive, which they have done extremely quickly to the negative. The Government now have five days to respond to their decision.
