Cabildo launches a new mobile APP with more than 4,000 job offers on it

The Tenerife Cabildo has launched an application mobile APP with the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (FIFEDE), which will make it easier for people in Tenerife to look for jobs, training schemes and scholarships. The APP is available via the Cabildo Empleo web page for iOS and Android mobile devices.

The insular councillor for Employment, Carmen Luz Baso, explained that there will be around 4,000 job offers a year from the private sector published on the APP as well all the vacancies from the public administrations of the Island, as well as its dependent entities and agencies.

“The objective that we have set ourselves when launching this APP is to have the offers available on the Island in the same place, to facilitate the active search for employment, both for unemployed and employed people who aspire to improve their jobs that they currently have”, said Baso.

“But we have also put special interest in strengthening the section of public employment offers, since it is intended to offer a space in which all the available vacancies are found. The tool has a team specifically dedicated to generating content and approving offers”, she added.

Any jobs offered on the APP must meet the conditions established in the Tenerife Employment style manual, especially to do with workers rights, equality and non-discrimination, of any kind.

The platform has an alert system that allows registered people to be notified when an offer that suits their interests is published, which will be made through in-app notifications and by email.

This tool will also be available to companies, public administrations, specialized entities in the field of employment or training academies, which may publish their offers completely free of charge and reach, directly, registered people who comply with the profile they are looking for their company.

The information in Cabildo Empleo, which includes offers from the public and private sectors, is divided into four blocks: job offers, training, scholarships and subsidies. In this way, when a person registers, they will be able to determine their interests and their profile so that the alert system will notify them each time an advertisement is published that may be of interest to them.

For the alert system, elements such as the place of residence of the registered people and their availability to move within the island, the professional situation, the educational level or the sector in which they are looking for opportunities are taken into account, among others.
