Umbrellas at the ready if you are going out today, as the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting downpours across the Canary Islands for this Thursday, with a slight rise in temperatures and strong winds on the northwest and southeast slopes of the Islands.

TENERIFE:
A cloudy day in the north and northeast of the island with rains that in general will be weak, especially during the afternoon. In the rest of the island, there will be cloudy intervals and temperatures will remain unchanged. Winds are from the northeast, which will be strong on the southeast and northwest slopes, mainly during the second half of the day, and breezes on the west coasts.
TEMPERATURES: maximum 23°C and minimum 17°C.

GRAN CANARIA:
Cloudy with rain during the middle part and second half of the day. Northeast wind, which will be strong on the northwest and southeast slopes, as well as in high areas, during the afternoon, and breezes on the southwest coast.
TEMPERATURES: maximum 22°C and minimum 18°C.

LANZAROTE:
Cloudy skies in general today, with cloudy intervals during the morning. Some light and scattered rain in the north is not ruled out at the end of the day. Northeast wind, with strong intervals in the afternoon.
TEMPERATURES: maximum 23°C and minimum 15°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:
In Fuerteventura, the skies are expected to be slightly cloudy or clear, with cloudy intervals during the morning. Northeast wind, with strong intervals during the afternoon.
TEMPERATURES: maximum 22°C and minimum 17°C.
