More than 56,000 Canaries residents are already immunized against Covid-19

The Ministry of Health is continues with its vaccination plan in the Canary Islands, and up until yesterday (Sunday) had already administered 175,259 doses of the three vaccines available in the European Union at this time, which represents 79.78% of the total of 219,680 doses received to date. In addition, the immunization of 56,190 people has already been achieved by having received two doses of the vaccine, which represents 4.17% of the target population.

So far 147,961 doses of the 151,680 received from Pfizer have been used, 20,136 of the 53,700 that have been received from AstraZeneca, and 7,162 of the 14,300 doses from received Moderna have been administered.

Yesterday a further 18,720 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in the Canary Islands, and tomorrow (Tuesday) 8,600 doses of Moderna will arrive, followed by another 23,300 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine later in the week, meaning a sharp increase in supply with a total of 50,620 doses delivered in seven days to continue with the schedule.
