More heat this weekend in the Canary Islands with temperatures of 38 degrees

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the mass of warm air that has been bringing hot weather to all of southern Europe is "gaining ground again this weekend" and will bring temperatures of up to 38 degrees Celsius in various parts of the archipelago.

For this reason, they have reactivated the yellow weather warning due to high temperatures from tomorrow in Gran Canaria, and from Saturday for all of the islands.

Gran Canaria will feel the heat first as the air mass is coming from a slightly different direction and will have the top temperatures tomorrow of 38 degrees in the municipality of Mogán, with the rest of the islands around 34 degrees but increasing on Saturday.

There will also be very strong gusts of wind in La Gomera and Gran Canaria, from the northeast, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes, and also late in the day on the south slopes. However, there will only be breezes on the southwest and north coasts.

Saturday is expected to be very much the same but with higher temperatures in the rest of the islands, especially Tenerife, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, when the wind will be weaker as well, making it a clear, hot and sunny weekend.
