The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has proposed to all of the autonomous communities that they advance the curfew to 8:00pm during Semana Santa (Easter) in a zoom call last night, with the objective of "testing their reaction of proposing more restrictive measures to avoid a fourth wave of coronavirus in the country.”
At this stage this is only a proposal for this afternoon’s meeting that the Government and the communities will have due to the ongoing rebound in infections in recent days. The Ministry of Health will give their reasons and suggestions for tightening the restrictions even more.
