A cloudy but dry Monday in the Canary Islands

The weather forecast for today, Monday, indicates that the polar front has exited the islands and temperatures are back on the rise according to AEMET, and the snow from this weather phenomenon has passed.

According to the State Meteorological Agency, minimum temperatures will suffer little change on the coasts and a slight rise inland, and the maximum temperatures will register a slight rise. The wind will blow from a weak north or northeast component, slightly more intense on east and west slopes and summits, and there will be a predominance of breezes on south and north coasts.

In Gran Canaria there will be cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered showers in the morning, and in the south there will be light cloud, with some intervals of high clouds in the early hours, clearing in the afternoon. Winds are from the northeast up to 14km/h.
In Las Palmas: minimum temperature of 10ºC and a maximum of18ºC.

In Tenerife it will be a cloudy start to the day in all of the island with blue skies during the afternoon in the south and west. Light winds from the northwest in the morning, which will get stronger during the afternoon up to 13km/h, and a very low probability of rain.
In Santa Cruz: minimum temperature of 14ºC and a maximum of 20ºC.

In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura cloudy intervals are expected throughout the day, minimum temperatures will not change much but the maximums will have a slight rise. Winds are expected from the northwest reaching 16km/h in some parts.
In Arrecife: minimum temperature of 14ºC and a maximum of 18ºC.
In Puerto del Rosario: minimum temperature of 13ºC and a maximum of 18ºC.

La Gomera is forecast to have a chilly day today as temperatures aren’t increasing much on the island. Cloud is expected in all areas all day, and only light winds are from the west.
In San Sebastián: minimum temperature of 9ºC and a maximum of 13ºC.

In La Palma it is going to be the coldest day in all of the islands as temperatures have not risen. It will be mostly cloudy all day with only breezes from a northwest direction. This island has the highest chance of rain, but only at altitude.
In Santa Cruz de La Palma: minimum temperature of 3ºC and a maximum of 9ºC.

El Hierro is, unusually, not the coldest Canary Island today as temperatures are above those in La Palma. It is expected to be mostly cloudy all day with strong winds in the morning from the north of 18km/h, which will drop during the afternoon.
In Valverde: minimum temperature of 7ºC and a maximum of 11ºC.
