Covid update: 209 new cases, over 100 of them in Gran Canaria

The Canary Islands have registered 209 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, meaning the accumulated total is now 41,584, while the total numbers of deaths is now 603 after the death of a 90-year-old man in Lanzarote, with previous pathologies, and linked to a family outbreak, according to the data published by the Ministry of Health.

Of the new cases Gran Canaria has 105 (51%) of them, Tenerife 86, Fuerteventura 7, and Lanzarote 5. There are now 4,696 active cases of which 76 are admitted to ICU, 295 remain hospitalized, while 4,325 are isolated at home. In addition, 36,285 people have overcome the disease in the archipelago, after 389 were discharged today.
